Event Details

Transformation in any organization is difficult to achieve. How can true and lasting transformation toward sustainability be realized in one of the world's most densely populated cities?

Bob Wise of Cogan Owens Cogan and Team Oregon will explain how the city of Taipei is approaching sustainability, and how The Natural Step Framework, the UN Urban Environmental accords, and natural system principles are being used to create a new vision of what a city can be in the 21st century.

Bob Wise specializes in both visionary and practical approaches to sustainable development, strategic planning, and public policy development and management as Senior Project Manager at Cogan Owens Cogan. He has been planning director or policy development advisor to four U.S Governors (New York, Idaho, Arizona and Oregon), and served for seven years as the Executive Director of the Council of State Planning Agencies/National Governors Association, the "think-tank" for U.S. Governors. Bob earned a master's degree in Public Administration from the State University of New York at Albany, and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Idaho.
